About the project:
The brief to the Architect was to:

• Modernise the apartment and provide a contemporary interior design
• Increase efficiency of the floor area and minimise 'wasted' space (e.g. hallways & vestibule areas)
• Relocate the kitchen to create a connection to the living areas
• Combine the existing WC and bathroom into a single room
• Incorporate an internal laundry

Further to the brief provided by the clients, the Architect also identified the following opportunities:

• To re-locate the kitchen, dining and living spaces to take full advantage of water views and morning sun
• To better utilise the 'best room in the house' by converting the semi-circular sunroom into a dining area
• To add value and amenity through the addition of a walk-in robe
• To add value and amenity through the addition of a full size laundry with direct access to outside

The apartment was completely guttered prior to make way for the new building.
